February 22, 2024: India-based StarSun Sohar said on February 18 it had signed a land lease deal to set up a lead battery recycling plant in Oman''s Sohar Freezone. StarSun said it plans to invest $3 million in the project to recycling around 1,000 tonnes of batteries from the domestic market every month on a 7,000m2 site.
