It is very easy to use and the batteries slide in very smoothly and with no effort. I have owned chargers which have cost more than twice the price of this one and were nowhere near as good. The Star VC8 is well built, fast, slimline and very highly recommended. The service from Fogstar was, as usual, fantastic!

Great battery, poor service. The batteries are phenomenal, but they are made by a different company completely, so Fogstar is just the app behind the battery! And the app has multiple issues! (Read the reviews on the App Store) - you cannot lock your batteries, anybody can connect to your system.

The standalone unit can take up to 200amps (rack unit is only 100amps). Most UK houses have a maximum of 100amp service (I have 80). At the full 100 amps, 31kWh of battery will take 6.8 hours to charge from 0 to 100%. At the normal 80% depth of discharge, so charging from 20% to 100%, at 100amps it will take 5.4 hours.
